Port of Fernandina  
           
   

The Port of Fernandina is operated by Nassau Terminals, LLC, a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan, under a long term contract with the Ocean Highway and Port Authority. Under the agreement, Nassau Terminals provides marketing, terminal handling and stevedoring services at the Port of Fernandina. Nassau Terminals/Kinder Morgan employees highly skilled labor and can work vessels on a 24/7 basis. The container interchange gate is opened from 7am to 9am Monday through Friday and the warehouses operate from 7am to 11pm Monday through Friday on a straight time basis. The container interchange gate and the warehouses are capable of operating 24 hours a day if necessary. Over its two berths the Port consistently handles over 225 vessels per year.

    The Port of Fernandina is located very near the Interstate Highway System, only 14 miles from I-95. Rail service is furnished by CSX with more than ample warehouse rampage and full 'Double Stack' container service capabilities in the port facility.
